Animal and Plant cells are very similar because:
- They both have organism that are the same like nucleus, ribosome, Cell membrane etc.
- They both live in living things.
- Both animal and human cells are divided into two categories called prokaryotic and eukaryotic
cells. - Prokaryotic cells are simple cells that lack nucleus and membrane-bound
organelles where as, eukaryotic cells are more complex cells comprising nuclear
and cytoplasmic material sheathed by a cell membrane. - Both plants and animals come under eukaryotic cells.
- Plant and animal cells have several differences and
similarities. For example, animal cells do not have a cell wall or chloroplasts
but plant cells do. Animal cells are round and irregular in shape while plant
cells have fixed, rectangular shapes. - Plant cells have a cell wall, They also have chloroplasts in their cytoplasm and they also have
large water filled storage compartments called vacuoles. - Plant cells are larger than animal cells
- Plant cells have plasmodesmata which links pores in the cell wall allow and
communication between adjacent cells unlike animal cells. - Vacuoles are conspicuous in plant cells than animal cells i.e. large central
vacuole in plant cells.
